I started working on my family tree in 2006 and became addicted right away. It's like a big detective case that needs to be solved. In the process I've met many distant relatives online and formed new friendships.I've been using Findagrave for several years, and recently discovered that beyond entering my own family members' graves, I could give back to the genealogy community by photographing cemeteries in places that we visit on vacation. This is a fulfilling new hobby and hopefully will help others to piece together their own family trees.
