Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a Mason I feel it is an obligation to my family to record as much history as I possibly can, in my lifetime. Hopefully, what i have accomplished will be a foundation to build on for those that follow. So much, has already been lost or forgotten. Asa Yeamans Memorial Comment
Regarding your comment on my 2nd great grandfather's memorial. Asa Yeomans's spouse, Jerusha Wightman Yeomans (Yeamans) descended from a long line of Baptists. One of her uncles was the last person burned at the stake in England by King James after being found guilty of heresy by a Church of England court. Among the charges was the Wightman ancestor's preaching against infant baptism. Shortly thereafter the Wightman boys moved to the New World, where they joined the Rhode Island colony of Roger Williams. Many of the Wightman men served as early Baptist ministers. One of the boys, Rev. Valentine Wightman, married Roger Williams granddaughter, Susannah Holmes hence Roger Williams is also an ancestor of the Yeamans clan in Matagorda County Texas. If interested the following link accesses Valentine's bio.

RE: Addictive......
Bill Gates 10 times great grandfather was Walter Woodworth who is the ancestor of 96% of all Woodworths in the US. Walter is my 8 times great grandfather, so Bill Gates and I are very distant cousins. His "Louisa Woodworth" is not the same "Louisa Woodworth" as mine.

RE: Wood siblings
I wish I had something to offer but I don't have much on that line. I have an ancestry tree but didn't have her siblings listed on it. Would love to see your work.

RE: Hovey and Associated Families
You sent me a lot of information back in late 2016. If you are working on a book, I would be most interested in helping by providing information on my line. I live on the north side of Houston.

RE: Hovey and Associated Families
Yes, I am a descendant of Joseph Lord and Mary Hovey. In fact, I almost have enough documentation to prove that I am a descendant of Samuel Hovey for another DAR patriot.

RE: Hovey/Lord Families
Albert Lord's father, William Harvey Lord, and my great-grandmother, Emma Frances LORD Burcham, were brother and sister. Their parents were William Nelson Lord and Sara Jane Neer.

William Alvin Rice photo
Thank you so much for posting the photo of William Alvin Rice. He was my great-grandmother's second husband. I descend from Bertha Blanche Lee Farthing (Rice) and William Henry Farthing. Do you happen to have any other photos of these folks? Thanks so much!

Margaret Hurst at Hurst Chapel
I recently photographed all the gravestones at Hurst Chapel and I did not find a stone for Margaret Hurst. However, several of the stones are almost impossible to read or don't have anything on them at all. I did not have time to try and enhance any of the hard to read stones. I will try to work in photoshop on a few of them but, I'm not too hopeful. So, I did not want to remove your request, in case someone else is able to produce a photo.

I grew up in that church but now live in Dallas TX. If I get a chance to go back, I'll look again.

RE: Ruby Lee Rodgers
I am happy that the obituary was helpful to you. I am interested in the Waldo family. They married into my Smith and Coggins family.

kimball / woodworth story
Hello, cousin!
I am going to email you the Kimball story, I found a letter written by my 2X great grandfather to his grandchildren that explains the name change. This is all that I've been able to learn, but it's pretty interesting. I am also descended from Samuel Hovey Sr, Samuel Hovey Jr, Abner Hovey, then Lois Hovey.
