I live in Jackson, TN. I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles,and cousins. My parents always attended family functions and we went to Decoration Day celebrations from the areas where my grandparents grew up. This means I've always known about my ancestors and can go to the graves of relatives from several generations. I'm also fortunate that my sister has done a lot of work tracing our ancestors. I want to make sure that my children and grandchildren will understand the importance of family and embrace their heritage.
