I do not know the Baldwins. Would you like to manage them? I added a memorial for Mildred who is buried beside Harry.

If you can call Calvary Cemetery (323)261-3106 for the grave location I will get the photo for you! Do not email because they will not reply. I would call for you but Since I am probably the only regular active volunteer there I have made many many calls to them for locations and they are very annoyed with me.
|R J Heller||Saint John's #2 cemetery - Pottsville PA|
Please be aware that any death certificate, obituary or document you have saying a person was buried in St. John's #2 means they are buried in YORKVILLE which is a different cemetery and location than what Find A Grave says.
The Pottsville PA cemetery information at Find A Grave is a mess. The cemetery they have as St John's #2 at N.Centre and Clinton streets is actually Saint Patrick's #3.
How did this happen? Apparently, Find A Grave doesn't check to verify cemeteries that people create. I believe somebody created a Saint John's #2 and it snowballed from there. I think it's foolish of Find A Grave to allow people to create cemeteries when they can't find what they are looking for.Folks often don't know the area they are dabbling with and that a cemetery they can't find is on the list with another name. That is what probably happened.
St. John's #2 is aka the YORKVILLE cemetery and is also called Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery. Find A Grave says that Yorkville is aka St. John's #3 and that's wrong
St. John's #3 is the now abandoned cemetery at 8th and Pierce streets in Pottsville. Find A Grave calls that St. John's #1
Saint John's #1 was behind the church and is now a parking lot. Those who were interred there were moved to Calvary cemetery in Mount Carbon
It's a serious problem and Find A Grave don't seem to really care as they have ignored all 3 of my attempts to get it corrected. I finally said screw it.
All I have written is what I was told at the Schuylkill County Historical Society and one of the ladies who helped me was a church record keeper at Saint John the Baptist in Pottsville for many years.
FWIW, I found all 11 of my people who were said to be buried at St John's #2 in the cemetery at 20th and Mahantonga streets and that is Yorkville.

I have finally completed the entire cemetery. Please go back through - if there are NO flowers or photographs on a memorial - you have dupes. I would have been done sooner but had created dupes of the ones with mis-spellings and I finally finished up transferring the photos and deleting them and I submitted edits for spelling. On to another project. Jan

Just finished Row 5 edits, just to let you know, there are a total of 15 rows and the last 2 or 3 rows have like 25 stones in each row... still a ways to go. Jan

Sorry for the mass edits. When I photographed the cemetery I thought it only proper to document the row and plots since I was there and it wasn't too large of a cemetery. Jan

Sister Antonia Schneider is my second great aunt. Thank you very much for recording her burial on Find a Grave. If you would like to transfer her to me, I would be happy to maintain her record going forward.
|Pat Swartz||David L. Swartzfager|
Your information for the grave of David L. Swartzfager is incorrect. Since he was not a
Catholic, he could not be buried in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Fryburg, PA. Below is the correct info. as I have it:
The Derrick 18 Jan., 1958,
Funeral Services For David Swartzfager will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Kier Funeral
Home here. Interment will be in the Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shippenville. Mr. Swartzfager died at 8 pm Friday in the Brookville Hospital. Born March 30, 1873, Died 16 January 1958.
Kier Funeral Home of Clarion is no more and there is no Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Shippenville at this time.
The Cemetery remains and is on North street in Shippenville. David Swartzfager is in an unmarked grave there.
David was Lutheran and was buried in a Protestant cemetery. His wife, Rosa, was Catholic and was buried at St. Michael's in Fryburg, PA

Thank you for recording the grave of my 2nd Great Aunt S. Mary Placida. If you would be so nice to transfer that to me I would be grateful.
The Find A Grave Memorial number is 134835491.

I base my correction on family knowledge (she is my 2nd Great Aunt) and the documentation provided by St. Joseph Monastery in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania.
In some places it is spelled Graber or Graeber or Groeber. And even with the Americanized version Craver it still gets misspelled.
In most instances (even in her own documents where she had to spell it) it is Graber.
I hope this helps. I can send over some pages from the convent if you need it.
Have you considered transferring the entry to me?
