My family are mostly from Monroe County, Ohio. I spent lots of time there as a child on my grandparents farm on Grizzle Ridge Road.|
Names I'm always researching are mostly my family's and include Decker, Clark, Workman, Griffith, Brown, Schenk, Freitag (Friday) Murphy, Fisher, Young, McMahon, Turner, Ullman, Mellott and Ott.
Although some information may still be missing, I've spent hundreds of hours researching these family names. So, if you plan to send me a correction for any of these, please send along your reason or citation in a separate message.
Please take a minute to look through my virtual cemetery, "Grandma's Album." ==>
These are photos of friends and relatives I have not yet identified. Maybe you will recognize someone and be able to help me identify them. Maybe they are a relative of yours?
For me, this is about doing something good for my family members and yours, too! It's not about keeping score, taking credit for something or seeing how many memorials I can build. It's exiting to research and locate family members that I never knew about. If I can help you find yours please let me know, I'd be happy to help.

|Bob Eggleston||Mae Plantz Griffith 87212992|
Reading your Bio, I see you are related to the Griffith. While only a Findagrave member for a month, I have been linking my family members together that brought be to Mea Plantz Griffith. She is my mother's half second cousin that she never knew about and lived totally across the country; Mae two generations earlier. I see you set up Mae's memorial and have a lot of children and siblings linked. My common ancestor with Mae is Rhinerd Plantz (40125238) which I linked to his grandson, Timothy Plantz (92340368). The interest here is that I began my genealogical studies over 44 years ago when my mother gave me letter written in the Plantz family, trying to find their ancestors back to Germany to claim an abandoned estate. I have a couple letters written in 1910 by Timothy Plantz to my great grandfather Simeon Plantz, (his half uncle about same age) recalling the family and history. They had not seen each other for 65 years! I've always wanted to connect to that family! Any relation?

|Thomas Pulaski||John's nephew that is|
Whoops. John's nephew, my older brother, also named Thomas, was in the Korean War, not John. Yeah, my dad named both of us Thomas after grandfather, Thomas. My Dad Anthony was born in 1913. He was 51 when I was born which makes me the youngest of this crowd.

Thanks again Tom. I was on the familysearch site and it didn't find his children but I will keep looking, new to this. Anyway, it's been great thus far, at least to find him. Thanks for posting him. He was a Korean War Vet and John was in the Navy. The Navy may be my next place to look. He may have been KIA.

Hi Tom! I have been searching high and low for my uncle. I found him. John Jacob Pulaski. From what I believe I found, he had wife, Lucille, two daughters Arlen and Delores, and a son, Ronald. John was my father's (Anthony) brother. I am hoping to find any relatives. Why did you post this memorial? Just curious. Can you help? I heard John was a SeaBee. But I also believe I saw he may have been stationed in Fort Clayton, Panama. But lived in Chicago at the time of the 1940 census, working as a cook. Funny, I also work as a cook (among other things) but I really enjoy cooking. At any rate, any info you could help with would be GREATLT appreciated! Thanks Tom!
|Bonnie Burkhardt||Alta Griffith|
I wonder what data you have that conflicts with what I tried to add. I believe it was linking her father's memorial. Hope it is not because his name was spelled Hathorn? Please enlighten me.
Bonnie Burkhardt descended from the Hathorns.
Thank you for the transfer of my grandparents.
I do not know,but you might check the family link of the workman's in the book"Portraits: Fort Rock Valley Homestead Years"by the Fort Rock Historic Society page 137 Eleanor Workman Long and Nova Workman. I worked out in the Fort Rock Valley at the Cabin Lake Guard Station as a Wildland Fire Truck foreman. I do have old letters to get to family or the Historic center. If you can not get the book, I can send a copy of the pages. I am going to get pictures of the Graves when the snow melts. L.Aggen please send to e-mail
