|Norman Cross||Your Family?|
I believe you were the ones who gave me the information about the Sleightom Cemetery being flooded and washed away years ago. Have been messaging on Ancestry with Cindi (Slightom) Grim on Facebook about someone saving a couple of headstones from the creek near there back about 1970 or so.
I think you may have told me who you were a couple of years ago but I can't find the message you sent me. Was wondering who you were and if we were related. Moses Dawson who was supposed to be buried in Sleightom Cemetery was my great-great grandfather.
I think you may have been the ones who sent me a link to the historical society diagram of the area cemeteries around Liberty Township that showed Sleightom Cemetery.

Yes it is a ways from our home town, but we were going by there on our way up north. Headstones are pretty weather beating

My husband is her 1st cousin, 5 times removed. The common ancestor is Mary's grandfather, Jacob Hilliard, who is my husband's great*5 grandfather.
If you are part of the family, please let me know. I am trying to trace it and any help is appreciated, esp family stories, photos etc.

Larry, You're very welcome. It was an honor to do this for you and especially for Virgil. I also added Myrtle's photo to her site, as well. I always look at the back of the markers to see if a spouse is also with them. If I can ever be of any further assistance, please let me know. Sincerely, Allen

There are four mausoleum buildings at Sparkman Hillcrest (SH). The main one, Hillcrest Mausoleum, takes an hour or more to walk when you are looking at each entombment. SH will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request.
You can also go through the SH website at this address: http://www.dignitymemorial.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us.page
Click the third tab that says "Other Requests." Fill in the blanks. Where it says: " What is your request in regard to?" use the drop down menu and select "other." In the message put the name and birth and death dates of the person you are looking for and that they are buried at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas. Once SH has replied, add the information to your photo request.
Thank you for your help.
