Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy is one of my very favorite hobbies, I enjoy finding new family members. I also enjoy helping others find their family, if I have added your family member to and you want me to transfer them to you, no problem, unless I have an emotional attachment to them - no harm in asking. If you find any mistakes, no matter how small, please inform me - always happy to make things right. I'm also very happy to add missing information, the more information we have the better we get to know our family member. If you have a link request, please send it - I love having family members linked, for some reason it's a comfort to me - they were linked on earth so why not have them linked after death - nice symbolism.

I add people to because I want people to be remembered, we should never forgot those who have moved on from this world - those who have paved the way for us.

If I've added a picture to a memorial page and there is not space to add a more personal item, please contact me about removing my item.

Please feel free to use any thing I've posted on in your personal family tree software or in your family tree on such sites as

You have a nice day! ✞

Your memorial is a duplicate of my Find A Grave Memorial# 180926528, which was posted prior to yours. Per FindAGrave policy, please delete it and post any pictures or tributes to the memorial I have created. Thank you.

Hattie Plemmons Murphy
Hi, I'm new at this! I'm hoping you are a cousin of mine, somehow. Hattie P. Murphy was my great grandmother, whom I never met, but my Dad told me he used to visit her in Asheville, NC when he was a little boy. Her son, Lowell Robert Murphy, was my grandfather, also, whom I never met because he passed away before I was born. My father's name was: Larry Gene Murphy and my name is Melissa Murphy. (no middle name) My Dad was an only child as am I, so I'm the end of the line for Lowell Robert Murphy's lineage. I don't know if he had any other children, although my Dad said he once saw him with a boy that looked a lot like my Dad and his Dad. Who knows?!

Anyway, I've been trying to find out about my Dad's side of the family forever it seems. Maybe you'll know if I'm a link in yours. Thanks for your time!

P.S. I'm 62 and live in Jacksonville, FL.

Thanks for your message. After I added her memorial and searched for her spouse, I saw that there was already a memorial for her using another first name (Thelma). I sent her obituary to the creator of that memorial but had a senior moment and forgot to go back and delete my memorial. I appreciate your diligence in reminding me and have now deleted it.

RE: Vertie Margaret Penland Waldrop
Hi Annette,
A couple of years ago, I created a memorial for Vertie/Verdie, but I placed her in the Lewis Memorial Park, where William Rady Waldroup was buried. I don't recall why I did that, but I don't make a habit of creating memorials without looking up the deceased to see where they were interred. Anyway, I revisited the couple last night, only to learn that I had been incorrect, and realized that I must have created a duplicate memorial.
Once I accessed the Family Search record for her, I saw where she had been placed in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka. That's when I found your memorial for her, and I knew that mine had to be deleted.
There's still another spouse out there for Rady, but I don't seem to be able to locate her. Hester died at 39 yrs. of age, and she was wife number one. Mystery wife number two, got Rady in so much debt, that it caused him to lose his home, and I don't know her name. Wife number three was Vertie/Verdie Margaret Penland, and she had been married multiple times too. She had a very bad temper and she would kick Rady in the shins until his legs were blue, and he would never speak a word.
I am not related however, just live across the street from the daughter of Rady's, who is now in a nursing home.
Thank you for contacting me, I will leave the transfer up to you.
Happy New Year!

Henry Pleasants
While I could not find Henry, I did find his wife and there was also a grave next to hers that had the same last name, Howard Spencer Pleasants which I had to add to the system with his wife. Not sure how they are related.
