Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been enjoying Genealogy research since 1994 and have enjoyed contact with many of my distant cousins along with shirt-tail relatives.

I mostly maintain family members and their lines only so, please, do not hesitate to ask for a Memorial transfer that I may have; whether it's maintaining or created, who is a direct family member of yours. I am one who believes in family should care for their own.

NOTE - I will probably know where you sit on the "tree" :) !

RE: Joe Derr Hardesty
did we serve in the war or did I just put that because I didn't find a record but there was a draft record for him? Did you find a military record for him besides a draft record?

RE: Mt. View, Saugerties
I found the obit at -- it does say Arthur was buried at Mt. View -- I will probably get up there after the holiday, but it is a large cemetery.

Joe Derr Hardesty
Is his death date 14 Jun or the 17th Jun. You gave me two different days. I show Matilda White Adams was his grandmother. His mother was Sarah Caroline Adams daughter of Joel Jackson and Matilda (White) Adams. I think Sarah Caroline Adams who married Greenville Penn or Paul Hardesty may have died abt 1979. Then he married a Laura Jane Lemrick. The middle name of Derr doesn't mean he was adopted. Sometimes they use a parent's maiden name, etc. as a first or middle name. But I didn't find any Derr connections. It just simply may be that his father or mother gave him the middle name of Derr because of a close friend. The death certificate didn't name Joel Jackson Adams as his father??
