Headstone is 4xGreatGrandpa Oliver Harding! My cousin & I were ecstatic when we located and were given permission by the current owners to visit Harding Hill "Cemetery" on private property, where Oliver & Chloe homesteaded in the late 1700's! Oliver died in 1838. The schoolhouse AND outhouse foundations are still there!
We visited Hornell, NY Public Library... a treasure trove of factual details on the first early settlers, including Oliver Harding, second to settle Hornellsville, NY.

I am retired and wish there was more energy and time in my days.. . . I have many interests and not enough time to enjoy them!
