I am a genealogist at heart and try very hard to find information and links for the memorials I create (and am aware that I am human and do make mistakes) so I am happy to add information and make corrections. |
I am also happy to do transfers but please don't send me a transfer request just stating "transfer it to me so I can update it" or ask me to link to "burial unknowns." Every edit or transfer request I receive gets researched and checked against the people buried near them to see if I can find a connection. So please if you have the information, use the edit tab to send the suggestion and THEN ask for the transfer.
Also I create memorials for families so please do not ask for a transfer because you are collecting Civil War soldiers, Pioneers, or whole cemeteries etc. These were real people, not something to be collected and I refuse to treat them as such.
Thank you to all the volunteers that have added photos, send corrections or shared stories or obituaries with me about the memorials in my care. And to those who kindly accept the many edit/link requests that I send out.
A note about photos:
I have been using the beta photo up-loader and one of its quirks is that it doesn't show you if there is already a photo on a memorial. I have tried to delete any duplicate photos I have accidentally added but if you find I have missed one please feel free to let me know.

|Lynn Simon||Leo T Zeeb|
Hi Mary, I have added a record and photo for Leo J Zeeb in the Menno cemetery but wonder if your Leo T Zeeb is a duplicate. Headstone shows Leo J. Could you check this out please? Are you near Menno? I live in AZ but have some family buried there and was there this summer. I took a lot of photos and am adding photos and records as I can find the time. If you are near Menno there are a couple things I could use help with. One is that I took a photo of the headstone for Gloria Ibis 1944-1944, but deleted it by mistake before I got it loaded. Could you post a photo? The other is that there is a partially buried gravestone showing only the first name Martha. Afterwards I wished that I had asked the groundskeeper to clear it off to see if the rest of the info could be revealed. Any possibility you could check that out. I have not entered any plot locations as I do not have any of that info available. Thanks much.

Louise Zickrick #124636820 is a duplicate of memorial Louise F. Tornow Zickrick #78364285. For the sake of clarity could you please delete your memorial? We would greatly appreciate the help as we work on the details of this cemetery. Thank you!

Lorna was my grand mother. She had only one child which is my Dad, I would greatly appreciate if you would transfer her memorial to me. I would like to thank you for all the time and effort you have put into ALL the memorials. I appreciate your time and effort greatly.

As one who has sent in tons of edits, I say the most valuable thing they can do is separate the spouse from the parents. I always run into lockout/timing issues if I want to link spouses and add parents to both at the same time. I then have to wait for acceptance then remember to add the second set of parents. I prefer to do it all at once. Supposedly this will all make the site run faster and better so that is good.

I fixed Wallace Hickenbotham. I have found myself repeating the family stone now that I am trying to put the personal stone on top. I looked at how the changes in the "new" find a grave would be working and the top photo is the one that shows on each person's listing. I'm not finding the new set up as attractive as the condensed memorials that they have now but I suppose it's easier to read on a phone.

Mary, I finally got back to photograph the last section of the cemetery south of Melgaard Ave. so all of the existing stones should have a photo now with the exception of new (post 2013) stones. I don't know if I will have the gumption to start on the north cemetery. Maybe I will leave that for some other Find A Grave contributor. Thanks for all of your help. Katherine

|Country Mouse||Augusta Sarah (Grant) Stone buried MN.|
I just created a memorial for Sarah Augusta (Hartwell) Grant who died Vermont Jan. 27, 1859. She is buried in Harvard Center Cemetery, Harvard, MA. with her parents.
She was married to Lewis Addison Grant and died in childbirth, but her daughter survived.
That daughter is Sarah Augusta or Augusta Sarah (Grant) Stone and she is buried in Lakewood Cem. Minneapolis, MN.
I just sent an edit to you so that Sarah Augusta (Hartwell) Grant is linked as her mother and not
Mary Helen Pierce Grant.
Sarah Augusta (Grant) Stone was living with her maternal grandparents, Daniel & Sarah Hartwell in Harvard, MA. 1860 census, while her father was living in Vermont that same census.
Thank you. Gail

First, thank you for what you do. I believe Alexander was married to my great aunt Eva Tiroux, 1896-1984. Can you tell me if there was a grave next to Alexander with her name on it? Alexander should have been born in 1891 in Poland.
