Bio

On my Paternal side I am a direct descendant of the German New River Settlers of Virginia, My grandfather Robert Hart Wall Sr. and grandmother Virginia Albert spent many hours with me, documenting and taking me to family sites around the Blacksburg Area. They gave me Heavener's original book "German New River Settlement by Rev. Ulysses S.A. Heavener, M.A. published in 1929 over 20 years ago, I also received the original copies of my Great Uncle Benjamin Basil Albert manuscript “The Name & Family of Albert of the Early New River Settlement revised 1962” Self published . I also have the follow up of his work by Ethel Evans Albert. "Links With the Past- A Genealogical and Historical Account of the Albert and Related Families" I have vol I & II of Mary B. Kegley's (co-author F.B. Kegley) Early Adventures on the Western Waters & also am fortunate to have Roger Shell's , Clovis Linkous's & Barbara Pemberton's research along with my correspondence of many kin, who are also interested in developing an accurate Paternal & Maternal family Tree. I am indebted to the many un heralded family genealogists who did hours of research to accurately document their family trees. On my mother's side I also go go back to before the Revolution with her family the Ballengee's and an amazing assortment of kin. My great grandmother, Melcenia Ballengee would tell me stories of the olden days, further sparking a great curiosity of my ancestors. I strive for accuracy. I am not afraid of "skeletons in the closet" and attempt to define all relationships with documentation. I am in the process of profiling my family with over 7,000 names and countless documents that I have accumulated. I find this work rewarding and enjoy meeting new "Kin
