My husband and I have been researching our family history and genealogy for a good long while – since 1995 for me, since 1976 for my husband. The surnames I am researching are Ellis, Landrith(eth), McPherson, and Nash. My husband is researching Nutt, Hunt, Halsal, Davy, and Rowley. There is almost nothing we'd rather do than walk cemeteries on nice weather days. We appreciate Find A Grave making it possible for us to document our family graves for posterity.

If you believe any changes are required to any of the memorials that we have added, please E-mail us using the ‘Suggest a correction' link found under the ‘Edit' tab on the upper right side of the memorial. This way it links directly to the memorial in question.

TRANSFERS: We are usually quite agreeable with transferring any of our "non-relative" memorials over to you upon your request. Ask and ye shall receive. However, if you request transfer of one of our relative's memorials, explain your relationship in the request and why you believe it would be better for you to manage the memorial and we will give serious consideration to your request. Please note that it is not appropriate to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor (us). Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information.

DUPLICATE MEMORIALS: It is not our desire to create multiple memorials for the same individual. If you find a duplicate memorial that we made, please know that it was an unintended mistake on our part and accept this extended apology in advance. Please notify us of our error by using the ‘Edit" tab on the upper right side of the memorial, and then click on the ‘Suggest a correction' link to send us an E-mail. Be sure to include in your E-mail the memorial ID # of our duplicate memorial. Kindly allow us thirty days from your original request for us to resolve the mistake.

George W. Coe
I took photos of George's grave as well as the others in that plot. George is buried with his wife, Ida May Pierce, his son, William Coe, his daughter, Maude Coe Seamans, her husband, Luman Seamans, and their daughter, Shirley Seamans Barclay. Unfortunately his marker only gives the birth and death years. I am not sure where the May death date came from but I believe the April date on the death certificate to be correct as each person who signed it (the physician, his daughter Mabel Koch, and funeral home director all stated dates in April. It is a bit difficult to bury a person a month before they die. It also seems the person who created the memorial also has George's death location wrong because he died in Quincy, Branch County, Michigan, where he was living with his second wife, Nina Keeler Angell Coe. I've sent clarifications to the memorial creator. Hope this helps.

Lou Ella 96394457
(You posted) "It appears Louella is buried with her second husband Richard Frank Seaton, see Memorial 102476722."

I have sent in a request to merge these two memorial's, as I was not the original creator of the memorial I can not either delete or merge it.

It will take time for this to process

RE: James N Nutt obit
you wrote:
James N Nutt obit
..... the obit states the "Mackinac Bridge in Sault Saint Marie." The Mackinac Bridge is at the Straits of Mackinac, the International Bridge is at Sault Ste Marie......

you can go into the "bio section" & edit that information so that it is correct.
Thanks for the reply,

RE: Transfers
Hi Peggy, Thanks for the transfers. Three of the four Ellis's are mine. Fay Edna Ellis #103342382, Mollie E Ellis #103342440, and Neva B Ellis #103342510. The other Anna H. Ellis #103343062, I've yet to find any connection to me. If I do I'll let you know. The other 3 it would be great if you transfer them and I'll fill in the info for them.

Thank you
My name is Patrick John Ellis and my Grandfather came from Glasgow, KY and his name was Curtis Bibb Ellis. I have started the journey and finding my Ellis Family relatives that are in Glasgow, Kentucky. I found the grave picture of my Great-Great-Great Grandfather George Bush Ellis who lives from 1809 to 1874. Thank you for your effort. I plan on making several trips to Kentucky to research.

Alonzo Nutt
Hello! You posted a photograph on the memorial for Samuel Alonzo Nutt (105876480), of Alonzo and one of his wives. Do you know whether this is Malina or Gladys? If it's Gladys, do you know if any photos of Malina or her kin survive? Thanks!

RE: Thank You!
Peggy, how kind of you to send me this message. I'm afraid I've become an addict to graveyards and cemeteries. Like you, I'm glad that Find a Grave gives us a place to honor those that went before. I am familiar with your work and you do a wonderful job. With luck, maybe we'll run into each other in a cemetery one of these days.

Mathew Peak - Peake - Peek
In the four years I've been working on tracking the history of those in Downing Cemetery (formerly D & D Cemetery) I think this is the fourth or fifth time I've tripped over the spelling of Mathew & Jane Peak's name. Now I find that there is another spelling. Mathew is also listed in Downing as Mathew Peek. A five minute search turned up all three names in one researchers tree. That tree listed Mathew's parents as William H & Charlotte (Bice) Peek Jr. Mathew's siblings are also listed with all three names. You were correct in declining my edit request. I think I submitted it in a moment of tired frustration. Thanks for catching my error.
