|Steven Travis||RE: Laurie Di Silvestro|
I used to live at the Cedar Lane Apts. in Ossining. In the summer of 1972 the most beautiful summer goddess came into my life. Laurie. I fell so in love with her. I was 14 though and she 18. For a teenage boy that's perfect. Laurie was our life guard the summers of 72 and 73. Two of the most wonderful summers of my life. Laurie was the sweetest, kindest, funniest and most beautiful girl in the world to me.
I remember lying on the cement pool deck with my round / blue Panasonic radio listening to WABC. The song, "Brandy" by Looking Glass was playing and Laurie walked by me in her paisley bikini and she smiled at me and said, "I love that song" as she walked past me with that cute wiggle in her walk.
Please excuse my romantic teenage muse of my summer crush but to this day at age 59 that is how I remember Laurie. I'll carry her and those memories inside me the rest of my life.
Her passing has brought me such sorrow.
It's funny cause I'm long time divorced and I actually entertained the idea of her and I.....well you know. I would have loved to have her heart love my heart.
When the Good Humor man's truck came everyday at 4pm I sometimes would buy her ice cream. I helped her clean the pool. I once even cried in front of her. So you see....she really meant a lot to me. It broke my heart when her boyfriend would come over and they would make out in the pool. Alas.....Steven's heart would break.
Gosh I'm sorry for sharing all this with you. Thank for correcting her birth year.

Laurie Di Silvestro was born in 1954 not 1957. May I please ask for it's correction.
Thank you very much and God bless,

No, you did not tell me this. I happened to be in Charlotte on business and this cemetery was within walking distance. Only went to fulfill your request for a photo. Hope you like the "group" photo I took for the five family members who were buried in the same area.
|LarryEldreth||Robert Howard Stone, Jr.|
Greetings. I am about to upload the photo you requested for Robert. Please note I tool photos of every other "Stone" family member, plus a group photo of the family, I could find. Check for those as well. Larry
I believe I looked behind the family name headstone and the front and I did not see anyone else. I just looked back at my photos from that day and I don't see any others with that plot.
If there is anyone else that should be there let me know and I will see if I can't get back up there and look a little closer at the grass, in case they sank a little and are covered with grass.

I've never been to that cemetery but I will check with the office. Right now I am in Germany on vacation and be back in the US by the end of May. You can also put a photo request in and maybe somebody can help you fast than I can ;)
Ignored... lol :)
Thanks for that. Always great when I can add or change something to the memorial. I see what else I can find!
