RE: Jos. & Ritty Lee Estes

Since you manage the memorial of their son, only you can add the parent links to it.

Joseph and Ritty Estes are my 5th Great Grandparents. I descend from their granddaughter Jincy Ann Kirkpatrick.

It was nice to hear from you!

RE: Lemus, etc.
Audrey, I was looking at the creation dates as well and I think most of them came after yours, which put me in a weird spot. I only requested you to delete the memorial if the other memorial looked like it was a family member, or had a lot more info. I figured if I asked the other person to delete theirs and they were family members they'd either say no, or ask to have yours transferred to them. So my thought was that I was saving you more work. But I also just remembered some people ar really into their Find A Grave numbers and photo request fulfillment numbers. I realized I accidentally fulfilled Lairds photo request with YOUR photo! Which isn't fair even though the photo is credited to you. I'm honestly just trying to simplify Glenhaven. So, please, let me know if you're not ok with what I'm doing. I've been letting Kaye, Susan and Kathy know the same thing. I'm not trying to take away from your work, or trying to take credit for your work. K? Please let me know if you'd prefer I do it another way

RE: Charleswoth
It is a lot of work, but I really love it. I've made friends with the folks who work there and they give me full access to their files, which really helps locating graves. I also started documenting Shalom. There's about 7,000 people buried there, I've added about 3,000 memorials so far. ive added about 8,000 at Glenhaven. It's a fascinating job, the people that work there are hilarious. The whole thing is incredibly rewarding to me. But thank god you girls got such a good start are the largest sections!

RE: Charleswoth
believe it or not, I just joined the DAR in January. Kathy helped me get in. We worked together for a few years getting my application in order. I kept saying I was sure I knew her name. Then one day it came to me! I'd seen her name on a bunch of memorials at Glenhaven! I live up the street from the cemetery and have been documenting the rest of the cemetery you ladies didn't get to. Small world, it all comes back to genealogy right??
