Bio

Born 04/15/1946 to 1923 Henry Clay Bowman, Jr. and 1926 Suda (Collett) Bowman in Harlan, Kentucky. My mother died when I was 8 months old so at 15 months I was taken to a farm 7 miles from Jacksonville, Arkansas on the Lonoke County line. In late 1948 my grandparents sold that large farm which was later turned into a State G&F Lake known as Lake Pickthorn. We moved to a 20 acre farm just East of the current LRAFB runway just off Centennial/Maddox Road in northern Pulaski County. In 1953 my grandfather: 1876 Henry Clay Bowman passed away at the age of 76. I attended Jacksonville schools and graduated in 1964. In 1966 I married 1946 Kathy Keesee and with her help graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) in 1971. My beloved grandmother passed away in 1978 at the age of 84. We lived in Sherwood where our son Greg was born in 1975. After the wife's parents passed on, we moved to Conway to be near our grandchildren: 2000 Jacob and 2002 Katie Bowman. I do genealogy since 1971 as a hobby and have a family tree (Bowman Family Extended 2) on ancestory.com
