Bio

I became interested in family history while in high school while asking questions of my paternal grandparents who were reluctant to talk about their history. A great uncle gave me some information about a family incident prompting relocation and a name change and immigration from Quebec to the USA. Our surname, at the time, was Pierce but he said originally (phonetically) it sounded like Passino. It took nearly 40 years and the genealogy search engines, along with a very helpful Fr-Canadian to find my paternal lines; Pinsonneault/Passinault/Pinsonneau/Passino and Lagace/Lagasse/Meunier/Mignier. We do not know why my gr-grandfather changed the surname to Pierce. My other surname interests are Pickett (FR-Canadian), Anderson, Walker, Mason, Devol(Duvall),Shaw and Nix - for now.
