The following memorial is for a dear child abandoned and could use TLC from visitors : Baby Girl April|
I've been working on my family's "tree" for several years now and since most of my family burials are nowhere near where I live, Find A Grave has been very helpful to me. I was born in Arkansas but ended up in Texas before I turned one! Family names I am working on are: BLACK, THOMPSON, ALFORD, ELMORE, MARTIN, BOLLS, JESTER, and others. Many of these folks are in Arkansas with some being in Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana (and the occasional drifter out to CA!)
As for the photos I have taken and added to memorials, you are welcome to use them for your personal family trees, on Ancestry.com, etc. No need to ask me first.
And a BIG thank you to all the wonderful volunteers out there who claim my photo requests, inform me of problems and generally just help the whole FindaGrave community!

|Nancy Cornelius||RE: Thanks|
You are welcome
|sarah black||RE: Robert Lee Black?|
I just wanted to let you know that I was able to find Robert's children, Roger and Linda.
|Dolores Wagner||Jodie J Smith b. 1894|
His sons weren't Harvey Crawford Smith and Kenneth Murray Smith. They were the sons of Jodie Jackson Smith b. 1818., buried in this same cemetery.

|Andylion||Squyres and Alford|
I saw you left a note on some of my/our relatives memorials. I am curious since we are related, if we are related by way of Alford (I looked at your bio). Do you have any information on the Alford that married Squyres? I'm sorry, I can't remember names right now.

|Brenda Simpson Martin||Martin family|
I was visiting my mother-in-law's site today, on her birthday, and saw your name. Then I moved over to this site for my father-in-law and see your name again and that you are looking for family. I married Marian Meyer and Cecil Raymond Martin's youngest son, Walter Tilden Martin.
Have you found a connection with these Martin's? If so, how?
Another coincidence, I saw someone named Black, asking you about Lone Oak Cemetery. My great-great grandfather, William Capers Mings is buried there, east of Lone Oak, Texas. I found the cemetery, but in short time I was able to stay, did not find his grave. I now have directions and hopefully on next trip will find it.

Who are the Blacks buried in the Lone Oak Cemetery?
Gary D. Black
|Woody Murphy||RE: Howard Sawyer|
No close relation. He was my late wife's 3rd cousin once removed. All I know of him was gleaned off Ancestry.com.
|Jim Nelson||RE: Thanks|

|Angie||RE: Black family|
