The following memorial is for a dear child abandoned and could use TLC from visitors : Baby Girl April|
I've been working on my family's "tree" for several years now and since most of my family burials are nowhere near where I live, Find A Grave has been very helpful to me. I was born in Arkansas but ended up in Texas before I turned one! Family names I am working on are: BLACK, THOMPSON, ALFORD, ELMORE, MARTIN, BOLLS, JESTER, and others. Many of these folks are in Arkansas with some being in Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana (and the occasional drifter out to CA!)
As for the photos I have taken and added to memorials, you are welcome to use them for your personal family trees, on Ancestry.com, etc. No need to ask me first.
And a BIG thank you to all the wonderful volunteers out there who claim my photo requests, inform me of problems and generally just help the whole FindaGrave community!

|Brenda Simpson Martin||Martin family|
I was visiting my mother-in-law's site today, on her birthday, and saw your name. Then I moved over to this site for my father-in-law and see your name again and that you are looking for family. I married Marian Meyer and Cecil Raymond Martin's youngest son, Walter Tilden Martin.
Have you found a connection with these Martin's? If so, how?
Another coincidence, I saw someone named Black, asking you about Lone Oak Cemetery. My great-great grandfather, William Capers Mings is buried there, east of Lone Oak, Texas. I found the cemetery, but in short time I was able to stay, did not find his grave. I now have directions and hopefully on next trip will find it.

Who are the Blacks buried in the Lone Oak Cemetery?
Gary D. Black
|Woody Murphy||RE: Howard Sawyer|
No close relation. He was my late wife's 3rd cousin once removed. All I know of him was gleaned off Ancestry.com.

You are so welcome. Glad I could do that for you.
|LPENN||RE: Isaac Black|
You are most welcome! This cemetery is close to my house so I will check back periodically to see if the stone is returned. Hopefully it is being repaired.

I am not a direct descendant either, so would you like management of this memorial?
