Mei guo ren is Chinese for "beautiful country" & "man, person". Mei guo is the Chinese name for America. Thus, the translation is "American". Although I haven't found any Chinese in my family, the term describes the country I love and the history I've enjoyed through genealogy.
I did take Chinese in college and this is one of the few words I remember.
