Bio and Links
Bio Photo a big love for genealogy, and helping others. Researching my family history: Augustine, Lawrence, Winn, Jones, several lines which has become very confusing to me as there are several different Jones/Davies/Augustine family lines, Malone, Zastoupil, Small/Schmahl, Fazenbaker, Kalanek, Tuma and lots more family names that goes along these great family members!!

I'm hoping to find other family members who are doing genealogy to learn our family history. It's something I have been interested and doing for years and lots of brick walls that I would love to solve. Would love to find my family heritage, and research how they were/lived. Love history!!

I live in the Sacramento area.

All yours to care for! I don't manage the third husband's memorial so I couldn't get that one to you.

You have a great weekend also!

judy :)

RE: 103420708 Katherine Shimon

I would say they are buried near each other as according to the cemetery records Katherine is buried in plot H 13.6, Joseph is buried in H 13.3, John is buried in H 13.5 and Frank is buried in H 13.4. I found Joseph Tuma's marker so to answer your question, I would say his name is Joseph. On Ancestry he is listed as Joseph Anton and it shows he and Katherine had three children, Mary Anna, John and Josephine.

Hope this helps you! I would be happy to transfer your grandmother's memorial to you, just let me know. I also manage two of her husband's memorials and I would be happy to transfer them to your care also if you want.

Best wishes,
judy aka High Plains :)

RE: Gertrude Lawrence Weinberg 137969717
Hi Kimmie, I believe the dates on My Gertrude Lawrence Weinberg's headstone are correct as to her birth on 27 May, 1883 and death on 11 Nov, 1959. She died in Cook Co, IL and they usually have good death certificates (usually but not always!). Those death certificates usually also tell the parents' names if known. One of her children would have had to supply the info for that. Cook Co. does charge a fee but I don't think it is too steep.
If these dates seem plausible for your Gertrude, it might be worth it to confirm her parentage. If she does turn out to be yours (and ours too), I might have the name of her grandson in the Chicago area who would be in his sixties and, at last look, was still alive. I have not tried to contact him but I know he also has a son.
Best of luck, Kay Marshall

RE: Gertrude Lawrence Weinberg 137969717
Hello Kimmie,
Unfortunately, I do not know who Gertrude Weinberg's parents were. I know she was married to my husband's great, great uncle, Leo Weinberg and had several children with him, three of which are buried near her. I know slightly more about Leo Weinberg than Gertrude but it is tough going to find out more. My husband is descended from Leo's sister, Rose Weinberg Marshall who was apparently disowned by her family as she was buried in a pauper's grave in Waldheim Jewish Cemetery in Lagrange, Illinois. Leo is apparently in the same cemetery (though they have no record of it). All I know of Gertrude came from We do not have a death certificate for her which might show her parents' names.
If you get any more info through your searches, I would appreciate hearing from you. My tree on Ancestry is called the Zimmer-Marshall tree and is public if you have Ancestry access.
Best regards, Kay Marshall

Dennis Malone
Hi, I tried to send a reply to your e-mail about Dennis but it wouldn't go thru, so am leaving you a message here. I transferred him to you. Then you can decide if you want to merge or leave them as is. If you decide to leave both sites on Find A Grave please put a note on the Dickinson site stating why there are 2 sites for him. I'm not sure how to merge so I'm not any help with that. Thanks, Cheryl S

RE: 95118341 Robert Jones
Annie McNamara and Robert R. Jones had a son that they named Robert in July of 1896. The baby died immediately. The grave marker states born and died on July 1st, but that may not be accurate since the Calaveras Prospect dated July 12, 1896 said born July 5 and died on July 7. The grave marker is clearly newer so whoever had it installed may not have known about the newspaper account.
Annie and Robert had another son in 1899 that they also named Robert. He died in 1923.
The only other child of Annie and Robert that I know of is Allen M. Jones who shares the marker with baby Robert.
