Bio

I am an Alabama boy who after 24 years in the Air Force adopted South Mississippi as my new home. After retirement I began what has become the long time project of documenting my family tree. This led me to Find a Grave as a source of research. While taking volunteer photos I began to notice the number of veteran's markers throughout the cemeteries I visited and decided to start photographing those as a way to pay tribute to their service. The hobby began to grow from there.

If you have information to add to any of the memorials I manage send it to me and I'll get it added. I'm always trying to improve them. Please use the edit function when possible. If you find errors or problems with any of the memorials let me know and I will get them fixed. I will also transfer any memorial that is not in my direct family tree (maybe even those depending on who that person is to you). If you wish to add photos to any of the memorials feel free to do so. Please do not load photos of markers if there is a good one (and I admit, not all of mine are) there. If you have a better one than I have already posted I will remove mine. Just remember, there are only so many photo slots and each additional marker photo means there's less room for family photos or other documents. That said, I have noticed that the orientation on some of my photos is off. I believe this occurred after the link with Ancestry and as time permits I'm working to get them properly oriented.

Find a Grave has helped in my family research and hopefully through the memorials I manage a link has been provided to others in their search for "family". Feel free to take any of the photos or information from the memorial for your own personal use. Remember, the information on Find a Grave is a starting point. It is not always 100% accurate. Try to find other sources to go with it if you are using it as a source for your family tree. When I find something that I know is accurate and useful I try to include it. There are a lot of people that help me with that and I'd like to thank them all. If you find something add it to the memorials you manage or send it along to the manager.
