I received the Family Tree Maker software for Christmas in 2000 from my husband. This was the beginning of a hobby that has never gotten old and has given me hours of enjoyment!
But it has also made me realize with great disappointment of the many tresures that I have missed in life by not seeking out my ancestors before they passed on to the other side.
I want to find and document where our ancestors are buried because after a while even the tombstones will be gone forever.
I am researching these surnames for my family: Greer,Saxon,Robinson,Dearing,Whittington,McCoy. For my husband's family,I am researching these surnames: Hall,Harkey,Wilkerson,Taylor,Henry.
Most of our family research is in Scott,Leake, Neshoba,Newton Counties in Mississippi.
