RE: Harper & Eleanor Mock
Hello Marlene

Thank you for your welcome offer of genealogy and photos of Harper & Eleanor Mock. I'm sending you an email with my introductions and how they fall into my family tree. Look for an email in your inbox from lonecowboy.

RE: Mary Pennington
Hi Marlene. I can't believe they haven't gotten back to you. If you call and ask for a memorial counselor, they should be able to help you. They are in the business to make money so maybe their not getting back to you was an oversight. Get the name of the person you talk to. Ask them to send you the necessary paperwork. Then follow up in a few days if you don't receive it. Get the person's email address or direct telephone number. If they know you are serious about doing this, they will respond.

One thing about the old Inglewood Mausoleum: It may be more difficult than I thought as far as engraving on the exiting marble faceplate. This is a specialty. They don't do it on site; the faceplate will need to be removed, a temporary one installed in its place while the original is sent off site to be engraved. That is, if there is still someone doing that. If an engraver is not available, they may ask you to purchase a bronze nameplate that is then installed on the marble. I'll show you a few examples later when I get off work.

Somehow, we will get this taken care of.

Regards,

B.J.

Sorry it took me so long to edit my mistake. It has been a long time since i saw my public message board.

Would Harper or Elanor happen to be either of your ancestors?

Good news, my photo request was filled today and photos of their stones were added today. :-)
Check out their find a grave for the latest updates.

Charles Hoff SAC
Marlene - do you know where you got the death date for Charles Hoff? I searched to try and find out if mine was incorrect, but I am unable to find where I got my date... I only found one source with the date (the 23rd) but it was not a primary source - just someone else's research, with no notes. SSDI just says Dec. 1965. He has no listing in the Altoona Mirror, which is odd...

Thanks,

Zella

Alice Sheehan
Hi I'm Bridget and i tried going to the Fairview Cemetery and fulfilling your request but I'm sorry there is no one by that name there. I walked, drove through, and checked their books twice and there is no Alice Sheehan at this cemetery. I'm sorry, I would have loved to have gotten this for you.

RE: Mary Pennington
You're welcome. It would certainly be nice if, when a crypt is purchased, the price of the engraving is automatically included. I don't know why her name was not engraved in the marble, like those around her. Hers was one of the first in the Inglewood Mausoleum. It took four years to build it, between 1911 and 1915.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Best regards,

B.J.
