Bio

I am Tommie Rene' Ingles / Shepherd. Married to a wonderful man, Sam Shepherd. I have two children, Rodney Keith Merimon, II and Michelle Leigh Merimon/Lee. I have 4 wonderful grandsons. I am a retired Registered Nurse and work part time in the family business.

I became interested in genealogy because of my cousin and dear friend Alice aka Nana (on my mamma's side) Alice has done extensive research on that part of our family. Alice sent me some interesting articles regarding "GG Grandfathers" on my daddy's side that got me so interested in the history of that part of the family that I am now addicted to the search!!

I started searching my paternal line, the Ingles/Engles. What I discovered is the family information easiest to find are the one's that left a paper trail. (no surprise) So I have decided to leave a "paper/picture trail" and try to put together a collection for all of the "cousins" I can find connected to Jerome Bonaparte Ingles/Engles.

Recently I reconnected with my half brother, Johnny Ingles, who had maintained a lot of information on this line of the family. He had written stories I had never heard of regarding our Grandmother and several uncles who I knew as a child but have now passed. I want my grandchildren to hear these stories and know about their past.

I am asking all with ties to the Jerome Bonaparte Ingle/Engle line to write some info - a short life story of themselves and the connection to JB and of their immediate family no longer around, my goal is to put a book together for us and the future generations. So be thinking about that and make some notes as you recall the stories. Also please look for old pictures of the family, it would be nice to have them all cataloged into on source.

Please forward to me at
