While browsing this site one day, I came upon not only memorials created but pictures of my parents and siblings gravestones. I will be forever grateful to the people that took the time to set these up. Well, one thing leads to another and I have since located many other family memorials.

If I have created a memorial for your relative, please contact me and I will be happy to transfer it to you as those angels did for me. Just be kind enough to let me know the relationship no matter how distant.

I welcome any corrections. TO AVOID ANY ERRORS ON MY PART, PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON TO REQUEST TRANSFERS OF EDITS.

My ancestors are Hobbs, Williamson, Dike, Sides, Stinger, Mayfield, Easley and Hughey.

Cheryl, I was happy to find the obit for your dad. Your parents were friends of my parents and Sarah was a friend I ran around with in high school. I knew Marilynn, too, but I think she was already married at the time I was friends with Sarah.

Anile Abbott
Cheryl,
Glad to have helped. Since Anile and De are related in some way to you it would be good for you to request that their memorials be transferred to you. You could then add their obituary information in the biography sections.
My dad also worked for the Dept. of Agriculture and that is how he knew De. I believe De retired from the DA while in Salina, Kansas. Afterwards they moved back to Colorado Springs. I remember De saying something like, "Why are we living in Salina when we could be living in Colorado Springs?"
I believe but can't say for sure that De and my father Lynn Larsen (memorial #95840207) met at the Soil Conservation Society, more commonly called Soil Savers.
Mike

Anile Abbott
Cheryl,
Unfortunately I don't have any information on Anile's parents or even know her maiden name. Anile and De Abbott were good friends of my mother and father. I came across these pictures when I was going though some of their things and thought it would be a good idea to post them to their memorial pages.
My parents are both deceased so there is no one I can ask about it.
Do you know what De's first name was? Or Anile's maiden name?

Cheryl,
I appreciate the response and trust things are going well for you also. I don't spend as much time in the cemeteries now, but enjoy looking through the old newspapers at the Commission in Athens, and occasionally find an obit to send along.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I was new when I took the picture and I didn't know to check the accept messages box. I am glad I could be of assistance in your search.
