I have had a love for genealogy since I was a teenager. My grandmother was the secretary for our family reunions. One day I was at her house & she received a call. When she finished talking she went into her den and pulled out a spiral notebook. She entered something into it. After she finished I asked what the notebook was. She then showed it to me & stated that it held family information like dates of birth, marriage dates & death dates. We talked several times & she first showed me how to start my family tree. Sadly after her passing the notebook disappeared. I have spent many many hours doing research & since I have discovered Find-a-Grave I have been able to piece many blank spaces together. I think of grandma often while I work on my trees. (currently I'm working on 8) I don't know if she knows how much of an inspiration she was to me but I have a feeling from above she does! When I find some family information that has been especially difficult I smile, thinking somehow she lead me to the information!
