Bio

I grew up in rural southern Indiana roaming the Hoosier National Forest, never realizing my ancestors had been among the earliest European settlers and that I had hundreds of relatives, living and dead, throughout Monroe, Brown and Jackson Counties. That changed one day in Robertson Cemetery near Maumee, when I discovered a stone marked "Aquilla Rogers and family, 17th Century". Obviously this was a mistake carved in stone that should have read "1700's or 18th century". This Aquilla turned out to be the brother of my great-great-great grandfather and started me on a genealogical adventure.

I live in northern Michigan and seek out pioneer cemeteries in search of local and family history whenever I visit my sister in Indiana. We try to find "lost cemeteries" and enjoy our long treks through the woods.
