Bio Photo Hello and welcome!

All of my photos and memorials are family members that I am related to. I love discovering "new" family members so if we have an ancestor in common, I'd love to hear from you!

Mabel Wainscott - Ward
Thank you for the not about Mabel M Wainscott – Ward, Find A Grave Memorial# 121386233.
I have corrected the maiden name. I also added a transcription of her obituary from the Peoria Journal Star.
Mabel married my great grandfather Guy Ward in 1930. At the time, my grandfather, George Ward, was 20, his older brother Louis was 23 and his younger brother, Ben, was only 7. Mabel always treated my grandfather and his brothers as though they were her own children. My mother,Georgia Ward – Neal was born in 1929 and grew up only a few blocks from where Mabel and Guy lived in Peoria. After Guy’s death, Mabel lived with her daughter Hellen, on Lincoln Avenue about four blocks from the home my mother grew up in and where my parents lived when was a small child. I have fond memories of visiting with “Grandma Ward and Aunt Hellen” during my youth. They were both wonderful people.
Thank you again for the note.
Have a Great Day!

RE: Hello
Hi- I talked to the gal who has all the cemetery records for Bearcreek, and she said they only go back around 10 years or so. Are any of the lots you are looking for that new? If they are, let me know and I can call her. Brenda
