I am a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whom loves her family deeply and wants them to know their family History so I am willing to help others do the same.|
I welcome death cert's as families may not know if cancer ect... runs in family and this would be a resource. Also, DAR wants proof like from family bible, death or birth certificates, deeds and wills.
Take nothing but ancestors, leave nothing but records.
I make transfers per FAG Guidelines. This would be your great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
Genealogy is my Past time
I shall not stray
It maketh me to lie down
And examine half-buried tombstones
It leadeth me into still courthouses
It restoreth my Ancestral Knowledge
It leadeth me into the Paths of Census Records
And ships Passenger lists for my names sake
Yes, though I wade through the Shadows of Research Libraries
and Microfilm Readers
I shall fear no Discouragement
For a Strong urge is with me
The curiosity and Motivation
They comfort me
It demandeth preparation of Storage Space
For the Acquisition of Countless Documents
It annointeth my Head with burning Midnight Oil
My family Group sheet runneth over
Surely birth, marriage and death dates
Shall follow me all the Days of my Life
And I shall dwell in the House of a
Family History Seeker Forever. Unknown

Looks like a mistake on the family tree. He had John Trotter md. to Prepare McClintock. In fact it was Christopher Trotter of Augusta Co VA married Prepare McClincock 24 Aug 1786.
Christopher Trotter served in Rev War: http://revwarapps.org/s40593.pdf
Noted he first signed up in Berkeley Co VA [now West VA] then back in Winchester, Frederick Co VA.
There is a Christopher Trotter on the 1800 Montgomery Co KY tax list
1809 tax list Adams Co OH Christopher Trotter
1810 tax list Adams Co OH Christopher Trotter

I am from the James Trotter and Mary Beard line. I'm trying to figure out if James is related to Matthew.
|Big Sur Baby||Matthew Trotter family|
Hi Debra Lewis -
I noted your line goes back to Matthew Trotter. I am trying to find out if my Trotter line goes to Matthew as well. Could you contact me please to discuss further, I'd appreciate it.

Reference the memorial you set up, Robert Arthur Lewis is my great-grandfather. Do you have any other information on his ancestry?
|Sammy Boyd, Genealogist||Cousins|
I just discovered that you and I are 5th cousins twice removed through the Skillern family of Bledsoe County, TN.
Have updated her memorial with the information that you provided.
