Bio

My family consists of Dahm and Swanson/Swansen on my maternal side and Binger (Bunger, Biinger) and Rork on my paternal side. In my extended family on-line tree, I also included the "married into the family" individuals! Once family, always family!

All but the Rork side of the family immigrated from the old countries starting in 1855 on the Dahm side to as early as 1902 on the Swanson side. We are predominately of German, Swede, Danish mix with a bit of Polish and Irish thrown in for good measure, which depends on where the world's countries borders were drawn at the time of birth!

Most of the family went directly to the Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota areas after arriving in the country. Most were prolific in having kids and subsequent generations slowed that practice, thankfully!

I would like to acquire managing rights of the related Find-a-Grave memorials. This month, I am putting the Dahm's together. My great-great grandparents had 13 children with 9 or 10 still living in the early 1900's. The living children were Gustav Carl Richard (my great-grandfather) - wife Florence Eva Schossow; Herman Carl Albert (died young); Otto Emil Robert - wife Lily Weymouth; Clara Emma Matilda & Clara Emma Martha (twins-died young); Anna Emma Elizabeth - husband Martin M. Kaspari; William Albert Robert (died young); Robert Henry August - single and caretaker of the Sheldon Cemetery; Margaret Emma Matilda - husband Wonzo Melvin Shaw; Emma Maria Ida - husband Harold Sherwood Jewell; John Albert - wife Amanda Solbakken; Ella Maria (died young); George Albert - wife Anna Froemke; Martha Eristina - husband George Lillicrop, Jr.
