While I have only been on Find A Grave a short time, I have been dabbling in genealogy for a few years now. Since getting back into genealogy I have been now searching and documenting family gravestones on Find A Grave. Most of the memorials I have posted here are either family or someone that has touched my life in some way. |
If I can be of any assistance in the McHenry and Lake County Illinois area, please let me know.

I can take you there, but it isn't an "easy" walk," nor a particularly hard walk, either. The conditions are;
a) the ground has to be dry or frozen, and free of snow.
b) the vegetation has to be dead. (You don't want to be there in the summer!)
A short fence has survived around one of the graves.

You are most welcome! Glad I could help!

You're very welcome.
Happy to help!
On this memorial page you noted that this A J Thompson was the husband of Dorothy Jacobs Thompson. Do you know where she might be buried? She is a relative of my husband. Thanks for any help. Carol J

Do you look under familysearch.org ?
If not try the website. Most useful.

Is Christian the second husband of Eleanor? Was Ludy J Puleo the first husband of Eleanor? That is how I set up Eleanor Puleo Christ's memorial.

|Susan ||Acacia Cemetery Photo Request|
If you call Acacia Park Cemetery and Mausoleum at 773-625-7800 and:
1. Ask if your photo request person has a headstone / grave marker.
2. If there is a headstone / grave marker ask for the section, block, lot and grave number.
3. If you send that information to me, Susan (#48964989) I will go there and fulfill your photo request. Of course any other Find A Grave volunteer can also fulfill your request if you then add the headstone location information to your photo request page.

Ah I see. The cemetery is now protected. I am not sure if any headstones remaining were placed back on the graves or not. When I was there years ago there were no stones as the owner of the property wanted to sell it for development but thought a cemetery would deter a sale. He pulled all of them from the graves.

She was married twice.
I knew about the other marriage.

I also knew they had been in California. I did not know about the sale of the cemetery lot. Do you have a document of this transaction? Thanks
