RE: Moses Adams b. 27 Oct 1654
Darn! Okay .. I've been an Ancestry member for about 20 years now so no going back - I'm just very picky about my research. I actually did find that Moses had 2 wives, Mary Fairbanke/Fairbanks 1659-1681 (m 14 May 1680) and Lydia Whitney 1657-1719 (m 15 Apr 1684) - at least that's what Torrey's New England Marriages has. I was kind of hoping that they were buried with Moses and I'd be able to put that part of the family together.

Mary Fairbanke/Fairbanks' father Jonas is how I'm related - so I would be to any children he had with Mary indirectly. I'm descended from Mary's sister Grace 1663-1689 who married Ephraim Bullen, and so on and so on. LOL.

Anyway -- thanks for taking photos of the headstones. It is so much help you cannot know!!!

Oh now I remember - I wanted to know if you had any information on his wife. Not sure what being related to you would have to do with anything since it's a distant ancestor. I have his wife as Elizabeth Fairbanks but haven't been able to confirm it. Sorry to bother you.

Ha - I don't remember the message I sent regarding Moses Adams. Sorry but can you refresh my memory? I'm not sure what being related to you or not would have to do with it so now I'm really curious as to what I wanted to know. Moses is part of my family tree on the Fairbanks side and I was working on that group, hence the question.

RE: A sincere Thank-you
Hi, Gail ~ you were the one who got me focused on a need to go to Woodlawn. Later I wondered if Tyler maybe also had a military marker on the back side of his was kinda difficult to check that day as there was a burial going on close by, but I'll check whenever I might make it back there. Yes, way too young to pass, which I personally know from having a son who died same.

RE: Hello
You're sure welcomed, Gail...I've seen it takes my husband to find some of the more difficult markers (plus it was good that UTDD has been recently mowed and trimmed). We drove through Wellsville on our way back from Scio some weeks ago, but did not stop at any cemeteries...glad you were able to get there ~ :)

RE: Tyler Roberts
without a death date, it's going to be very hard. I will try to include it with the non-section listings that are there, but I have little faith that it's going to be able to be found easily.

Tyler Roberts
I am attempting to find the memorial for Tyler in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville, NY. Is there any other information I can have as to approximate area he's in? Like front/back/middle or turn right/left off main enterance....? I am trying to do my best to fill your request but I need to at least have both a birth/death date for the curator to research. Anything you can help me with would be appreciated!

RE: Thank you
That is so unkind and reminds me of my fatherInLaw when his mother died...did not even get a pot or pan (in his words) of hers. Then when he died, his wife sold many of his tools ~ that other family wanted ~ for pennies on the dollar. Why on earth do people do that to people they supposedly love? It is sadly true that often strangers on line try more to help than our own families...and Stuart surely sounds like a lovely man!
