Both my wife and I are of 100% Swedish ancestry. Trips of 6 to 8 weeks have been made in 1887, 1900, 2000 and 2005 visiting the areas of Southern Sweden where emigration was from.
A book was written in 2008 (hard cover) trying to research all the Dalsland emigrants who ended up in the Karmel area of Isanti County. Also how living conditions were in both places during the late 1800's
Another book in 2010 (soft cover)showing the church and cemetery history of the Karmel area plus some additional immigrants.
Considerable research has been done over the years.
A trip of six weeks in the fall of 2012 also.
Researched the history of Wyanett Free Church in 2019 - 2020. Book at church.
