Bio

I got hooked on our family history the day I discovered my Great-Great Grandfather's 1925 autobiography and family history. He wrote about his Civil War days, and showed our family ties to both Daniel Boone and President Lincoln. Then, I discovered another Great Grandmother's girlhood diary about her family's trip in a covered wagon across the plains of South Dakota to a new home in Montana. One day I Googled one of these ancestors, and found her headstone on Find A Grave. What a surprise! I tried others and realized how great seeing these memorials was, and how important the experience might be to others. I joined Find A Grave, determined to offer the photos I would want to see of my loved ones' grave sites. I find it interesting what a cemetery can say about an area's history and culture. My best friend and I have play days, finding cemeteries, and hopefully fulfilling photo requests. When I travel, I look for cemeteries along the way that may need my attention. What a great way to be in nature, spend time with a friend, and know someone might soon get an email about a photo they've been waiting for.
Please feel free to use the photos I post. Credit for the photos would be nice.
