I have been interested in genealogy for about 15 years and have built my family tree that reaches back to the mid 1600's in the United States on my mother's side and to the early 1800's in Italy on my father's side. I also have built my husband's family tree.
Working with Find a Grave to accurately document family members has been my goal. I add photos when I have them and attach the deceased to their family members who are on Find A Grave, so that future genealogists will have places and people to search. If I come across a new obituary, I add it to the memorial as obituaries often carry important genealogical hints.
My biggest kick was visiting the small town where my Italian ancestors were from and visiting the cemetery, taking photos of headstones of familiar names, and finding the birth records on FamilySearch to attach to memorials I created.
