Bio

Born and raised in Michigan by a carpenter, I grew up in the country. I have loved horses since I can remember, along with photography, and music.
As a young adult, I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior. His Lordship came sometime after that, since I had no idea as to what was in store, and had a lot of erroneous ideas about God to get rid of. My life has not been the same since, nor would I want it to be.
I got into genealogy after my husband retired, thinking it would be a good hobby for him. That is not how it turned out, but he has received much of the benefit of my interest in it. As it turns out, he is not much on the research, but enjoys the results.
I have 3 horses... all of them big, spoiled babies, and I consider them my therapy. There is nothing like a soft (or sometimes loud) nicker to greet you in the early morning hours. Sometimes, if I am late enough, I am greeted by a whinny or two, or maybe more.
My roots seem to run deep into Canada... my Dad's parents were both French Canadian and immigrated into the United States in the early 1900s. My Mother's parents, on the other hand, came from Germany and Austria. What a combination!!!
I am continually growing in my knowledge of ancestry, and appreciation for those who have walked this earth before us. If I can be of help in your quest, please let me know.
