These pages are for interments at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Compton, CA. To date, more than 99% of known interments have been added. The original interment list contained name, date of death, and plot location. For some entries, the date on the list was date of burial rather than date of death, and that is corrected as information becomes available through SACs, photos, additional research, etc. A project to photograph all visible headstones is currently in process.

Updates to information or transfers to direct family members will happily be made in accordance with FAQ Guidelines. However, in fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, or have previously provided additional information, transfer requests for pages that are outside of required transfers will be considered on an individual basis. The Edit Tab method/system now provides a way to update all fields without requiring a transfer.

To provide information or request a transfer, please use the "Suggest A Correction (SAC)" link, located on the Edit Tab (upper right corner) of the page in question. Using this procedure will send an email message that includes links to both the memorial page as well as your Contributor ID so there is less chance of error when updating or transferring the correct page. Original bios will also be credited. Don't forget to specify your relationship when requesting a transfer.

Please DO NOT send an email with a list of all of your research, and expect us to parse through it, and figure out which information is pertinent. Assume that I do not understand your shorthand notes to yourself. Please be clear and to the point.

Note: Only information that is not already detailed in Find A Grave's basic bio will be added to bios. i.e., birth and death dates are already detailed, so adding that info to the bio is redundant, and simply clutters a person's memorial. If you know a child's FAG#, please send a SAC to the person that manages that memorial, to get them linked. Please do not send a list of FAG#'s for children, and expect us to send out your SAC's for you.
