I love to walk cemeteries looking for interesting memorials. I have been an amateur genealogist since 2005. My mother tried to get me interested while she was still living and I was not interested. Now I kick myself daily. I have so many unanswered questions. I have three son who are the same as I was, so I am trying to write it all down and print it out with pictures. I found it very interesting that my husband's ancestors as well as mine came from almost the same area in Ohio, settled in central Iowa, moved to western Iowa, then moved back to central Iowa and never knew of each other to our knowledge. I also have 9 grandchildren who think it is great fun to walk cemeteries and find dates in stones. My husband calls it window shopping!
I am working on Roberts, Thomas, Hildebrand, Brawner, Ferrebee, McCain, Whitehead, Ewald, Berstler & Briggs, descendants. I don't plan on ever finishing.
