Bio

I have been working on find a grave for over 13 years now but decided to create my own account.

I am a descendant of Peter Lent Mabie and Nicholas McCormick who was a POW of the civil war but was traded for another prisoner & he lived to be 90 years old! And a distant cousin of John Wayne. Niece of K. Gordon Murray who made over 60 films in his lifetime. Cousin of Anne Burke, wife of long time Chicago Alderman Edward Burke. I am researching both sides of my parents. As well as my husband's family.

I am looking for Reynolds, Van De Warker (Vandewarker, Vandewalker, Vanderwarker, it has been spelled many different ways), Hickman, Stinger, Piercy, McCormick, Dickinson, Morrison, Norem, Mabie, Murray, Avery (yes, I have a connection to my husband's family). Others also include Gamble, Fessenden, Burmeister and many others.

The cemeteries I frequent are Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois, Warren Cemetery in Gurnee, Illinois, Northshore Garden Of Memories in North Chicago, Illinois (sorry, they are no longer helping volunteers, family members making a request there must call the office to get the location) & Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL (sorry, they are no longer helping volunteers, family members making a request there must call the office to get the location). If you have a photo request for any of these four cemeteries, please let me know.

I have been to cemeteries in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota & a pet cemetery in Wisconsin.

NOTE: Lake and Cook County Illinois Catholic cemetery plots are: Section, Block, Lot and Grave Number, we will NOT except shortened plots for these particular cemeteries.

The most important genealogy tools I find besides find a grave are obituaries and censuses. Helps us find loved ones.

I have turned off public messaging due to rude messages left. Due to receiving too many false edits lately, we will now likely decline them. Send a suggest other edit if you want to ask me something, thank you.
