RE: John B. and Andrew Allison
This information is from the book cited below on page 819.

Robert Allison, the great-great-grandfather, was a member of a family that fled from Scotland. In 1752 he married a lady by the name of Beckie Baird. The result of this union was six sons and one daughter. The names of the sons were Tate, John, Andrew, Robert, James and Thomas, and the daughter was Jane, who married William Hamilton.
John married Hannah Graham.

RE: Tate Allison
I appreciate your concern about the accuracy of the information that was posted on the memorial for Robert Allison and Rebecca Baird Allison, including the link to their son and my great-great-great-grandfather Tate Allison. You have confused the Robert Allison who's Franklin County, PA Last Will you cite with Tate's parents. Tate's father Robert Allison, died in Indiana County, PA. He died there in 1805, and was buried in the Gilgal Presbyterean Church Cemetery. His Last Will was probated in Indiana County, PA. The Allisons did live in Letterkenny Twp., Franklin County, but moved to a part of Westmoreland County that later became Indiana County. I noticed another decendant has lefta message for you also pointing out your confusing the Robert of the Franklin County Will, with my ancestor. Aside from my Robert's Last Will fpund probated on Indiana County, my Allison lineage is recorded in the Histories of Indiana County; PA Archives; census records; family Bible records, etc.

I do think it would be prudent that you verify your information prior to suggesting incorrect edits to memorials, as you have done in the case of Tobert Allison in the Gilgal Presbyterean Church Cemetery, in Indiana County, PA. I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact that memorial's manager and admit your error. That said, the kind of error you've made is easy to make, especially with families who unfortunately use the same names, not only from generation to generation, but throughout the extended family.

RE: Jane Allison
The information on Jane Allison Hamilton (my 4th GG mother)can be found in "Indiana County Pennsylvania Her People Past and Present" by Prof. J.T. Stewart published 1913 in two volumes. (I also have a family genealogy that was done in the 1970's.)

I believe that the info you have is a different family of Allison. Your will is from Franklin County which is over 130 miles away from Indiana County where I was born and my Allison family is from.

I see that you requested the information entered onto Robert's Find A Grave based on your will but like I said, I believe this is a different family and should be removed.

Are you located in or from Indiana County?

Where was his will filed and what was the date it was proven?

Robert Allison & Becky Baird
I did not link those children to Robert and Becky. They were linked by the manager of the children's memorials. You will need to contact the managers of those memorials to find out their sources.
