Elder Mathew Floyd's grave is there, but the tombstone is not readable. I did take a photo which I will post soon. I did find in one of the "Floyd Family" books the tomb stone inscription. I also understand some where here in town is a photo of the marker when it was readable and will post it when i can find it.

Hello cousin! Rebecca York Brown Find A Grave # 28461374 is indeed a daughter of Andrew and Lucinda York of Scott Co, TN. Married to WM Brown in Scott Co 1898. Several children. She was living with son Elmer in 1940 a 63 y.o. widow and was working as a sales clerk for a local grocery. She is the sister of my grand father John York. She and her husband are interred at Brown Cemetery in Cordell,TN. Andrew was Shot and killed by two of his grandsons in an argument over a girl.I have requested Find-A-Grave links be added to her with her parents and husband.Thanks,Leo.

Do you have a family tree posted any where? One of my cousins does extensive research on the Floyd side of the family. He has Ancestry.com. We have records to Tennessee, but I think he researched a branch in Kentucky. The Hart's often lived amongst and were married to the Floyd's. Reverend James Hart was our common Grandparent. His daughter Maud Hart married John Floyd. Maud was my mothers Aunt.
