Bio Photo
I am a former Marine and a Vietnam Veteran.
I spent two tours of duty in Vietnam.
Not as lean. Not as mean. But still a Marine!

I can only speak for myself and the photos that I have taken. I am giving my express permission for you to use my photos in any way you see fit in your family research.

I will try to never forget that am a volunteer out here, doing work for you, the absent family member.
I do not selfishly hoard my pictures under the selfish pretense of a 'copyright'. WHO in good conscience could ever selfishly refuse to share OPENLY the photo of another family's grave stone?

If you run across any of my FaG memorials in 'PIONEERS REST CEMETERY' and the photos are considerably smaller then you are accustomed to seeing my name on, it is because they are being shared by the owner of that website and transferred by me with obituaries and other information to FaG from their web site. Originally they were posting them on their site much smaller due to the older camera equipment they had back then as well as the bandwidth limitations the servers offered when the web site began.

†Transfers†:
Regardless if I created a memorial or if it was one transferred to me, do not be afraid to ask for a transfer from me. NONE of my memorials are in my family tree and I do transfer. I openly welcome and gladly transfer memorials upon request.

My personal transfer guidelines of MY memorials is very open. I like it when you are family of some sort because;
I believe no one takes better care of family then family.

But be Honest because I also believe there may be other valid reasons for wanting a transfer. If it was a close family friend, a next door neighbor that was like family all your life or someone that played an important part in your life that you wish to pay respect to and manage the memorial instead of me, a total stranger. Just explain your reason to me and I will more then likely transfer to you. I have yet to turn anyone down.

"PET PEEVE"
It puzzles me....I will never understand why people refuse to or are even aloud to, not put ANY contact information such as email OR even enable their public messaging on their FaG 'Bio' page for others that may want or need to ask them for help, but are frequently requesting help from other volunteers. SOMETIMES people have a valid reason for wanting to contact them. FaG should make one or the other MANDATORY. The "ANONYMOUS" BS should not be aloud. Give no contact info, block their account from contacting others.

Herman Kummerow at Pioneer's Rest
Hi Larry, the memorial for Herman Kummerow has a photo for Roland Kummerow instead. Easy to do when you're documenting lots of burials--I've done it myself. The memorial is here: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Kummerow&GSiman=1&GScnty=3027&GRid=159849467&
Thanks for all you do for F-A-G!

Hi Larry,
Thanks so much for posting the burial permit of Joseph on his memorial. It gave me info I didn't have for him.

Bonnlander/Bonnlender photos
Thank you so much for going out to get photos/updated photos of the Bonnlander (now Bonnlender) stones. It is a several hour trip for me and I really appreciate the time you took to save me time! Much appreciated.

RE: Thanks Larry
I've had difficulty locating the markers for a few of my ancestors in other cemeteries. How do you go about probing for buried markers? Any hints?

thanks, Larry, for tracking down Mathias Daun's memorial. Do I have your permission to add the photos to my Ancestry tree?
