Several memorials have been transferred for me to manage. Each person has a father, mother, & perhaps a spouse & child. We all have a story to be told. I hope to go through each one to link family members and add any family information that I may find. If you are a family member of someone I now manage, and they are not a relative of mine, I will gladly transfer to you. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON with your request to be transferred or to leave any information to be added.

Rebecca, would like for you to check out the following Find A Grave #12185854 at the Bishop Mason Mausoleum and Columbarium in Flower Mound, Denton Co., Tx. This is George J. Deane, husb. of Elizabeth J. (Brown) Deane. Could this be the same person as your George A.Deane. The dates are identical.
Thank you, Linda

Shirley Curry Find A Grave Memorial# 5578158 is my grandmother and her listed spouse is wrong. She married her second husband around 1960. I've submitted an update to her record.

Thank you for the transfer of John W. Thompson, my 4x Great Grandfather. I have a few e-mails with documents in my draft box ready to send you on his family. After you receive them you will have my e-mail address. Since you did not create the memorial, was the information and links there before the transfer to you? Or did you add all the information and links? Look forward to hearing from you by public message and/or my e-mail address.

yeah, i read about them. i saw "Allegheny Uprising" last year and saw Stanley Blystone's name, and immediately became curious if there was a relation. this was not long after I had learned i had an ancestor named Barbara Blystone. I had assumed that was a Scotch-Irish name until a few days ago I ran across her father's name on Ancestry and ended up on the findagrave pages. Kristina is my dad's 5x great grandmother, so if i understand that correctly, that makes him and your husband 6th cousins.

thanks. it is weird.
I did just learn that she is the ancestor of both film director John G. Blystone, and the man who started the Klondike gold rush, George W. Carmack.

Barbara Blystone Steel is my 5th great grandmother. Her mother Kristina is listed as having been born in 1737, but this would mean she had all her 10 kids starting at age 38 and the last in 1789 when she was 51! That makes me think the birth year is wrong. Does anybody happen to know?
thank you for the transfer

I am glad that unknowingly was able to help you. I look for these photographs and have a true belief that a tombstone should have a face to go with it.
For several years I have been visiting Find A Grave using it to research my own genealogy. It was just a few weeks ago that I joined the web site.
Back in 1998 several family genealogist met together with one of them wanting to know if I had a picture of my great great grandfather. I didn't. I was able to get his wife, my great great grandmother though.
I visit antique stores and look at the old photographs and hope, just hope, that maybe there is a name written on the back. My wife and I did this just yesterday without results. I'll ask if I can copy them to place with their marker. These were people and because of them we are here today. Maybe those of us who are interested will not forget them.
I came up with a quote several years ago:
"Our ancestors left a memorial marker so that we their descendants would remember them."
