I was born and raised in Ottumwa, Wapello Co., Iowa. I have a Bach., Masters, Specialist Degrees and an ABD Phd Degree in Educational Adminsitration. I have attended Univ of Iowa., BYU, Univ of Florida., Michigan State, Eastern Michigan State., and Golden State University.
My McLaughlin side of the family moved from Ohio to Grundy Co., MO as pioneers in an oxen cart.
I have traced my McLaughlin line back to the immigrant who was Thomas McLaughlin who died in Greene County, PA. I have written a book on their exploits.
My mother's side of the family, Dimmitt, I helped trace back to the immigrant who was Thomas Dymet. I have written a book on this line up to the present generation. I have also written a book on Lewis Hand Williams who was my mother's gr-grandfather who fought in the Civil War.
I now live in California and am at the age where it is taking it's toll on me. That's about it.
