Bio

I enjoy researching my ancestry and have been working on it for a really long time. My interest was sparked when my aunt put together a family tree book back in 1983. Ever since then I have been expanding on what she started and updating it with new information. With the advent of the Internet, it has made it so much easier than what she had to go through. All her hard work gave me a huge jumpstart to which I am eternally grateful. :-)

I haven't entered that many memorials and the majority that I have, are my relatives. Please note that I am happy to correct or add new information to any memorials I manage. Please submit all requests via the "Edit" button. I am also happy to transfer memorials per the Find A Grave guidelines (unless I am closely related as well). Please be sure to state your relationship to the deceased in your request. HOWEVER, if I am not related to the deceased, I will gladly transfer them to any relative that asks - even outside of FAG guidelines. I am not a "collector" unlike a couple of FAG members I have had the distinct displeasure of interacting with.

Honestly, more and more I am beginning to believe that after a memorial is created, it would be best managed by FAG administrators instead of the user who added it. This way, a few FAG members could not act as if they "own" them and refuse to transfer or update them - even when family members provide valid data edits/updates or request it.

OK...I am done ranting now. I guess you can tell I have "met" a couple of not so nice people on FAG unfortunately. At least the majority are great and their motives are pure. You know the saying about a few bad apples...
