Bio

I am looking for my people and those of my husband. As it did with so many of you, the interest in grave-hunting grew out of my digging up facts about ancestors and organizing my family's old letters, photos and genealogies. As the vital statistics began to give my ancestors dimension and context, I found I wanted to know where they had landed. Now the process of fact-finding is incomplete without a search on Find-a-Grave. When I can, I add memorials that I hope will help others the way you have helped me.

I am a librarian by trade and a genealogist by accident. My family interest is in the Pennsylvania names Kirk, Goodlander, Willard, Thompson, Boyd and Hayes, and the Carolina and Alabama names - McNair, Cope, Prude and McGee.

Locating the resting places of people whose lives meant something to me has become more important as time threatens to diminish or erase their contributions. I add memorials as I can, submit missing information to existing memorials, and contribute photos and bios that recall them as they were in life.
