Find A Grave has truly been a blessing! I have been able to find quite a few "lost treasures" in my family because of this site. The generosity of the folks posting on this site is amazing and I can only hope I can contribute to this as well.
I started doing my family research in 2002. I was doing a scrapbook for my father's 60th birthday and made a phone call to my Great Aunt Bernice to look for old pictures. I was looking for pictures of my dad when he was young, but little did I know this was just the beginning of my journey. Bernice sent me pictures of grandparents, great grandparents, great aunts and uncles and many more. Several of the pictures had only initials or nicknames on them and this got me curious. So here I am several years later and still being bit by the genealogy bug!
My main interest are the Staats, Dragoo, Waggoner, Thorn, Pickens, Maddox and Godbey families, just to name a few. If you see that I have a family member that belongs to you, please let me know and I will gladly transfer it to you!
