I have been active in researching my family history for about 8 years. It wasn't until lately that I have been able to devote more time to the pursuit. It has paid off greatly and, in fact, I have found cousins along the way who have assisted me. Their family stories have opened windows into the past.
My advice would be to stay connected to family members and to honor those who have gone before us. Find-A-Grave is an excellent vehicle for doing just that. After all, we are each a link in our own right to the past, in the present and leading the way to the future.
