I've found that Find A Grave is a great tool to locate family members! All of the volunteers who have taken the time to register graves and place photographs are truly appreciated!

I've added some memorials for some whose headstones caught my eye while I was looking for relatives' graves or fulfilling photo requests. I would be happy to transfer any of these to family members even if outside guidelines.

***** Photos I have posted may be copied but please include attribution to the Find A Grave memorial.

Most family portrait photos I have posted on FAG are also posted to Ancestry.com. In that case, please use the 'Add to my tree' command to re-post them to your tree.

**Bowling Family: I have organized the memorials in Virtual Cemeteries. ABowling are the children of Ambrose Green Bowling and their descendants. I have further separated the descedants of his son Samuel Bowling (ABowlingS) by his wives Margaret and Lydia. Lydia's descendants by her first husband Joseph Mahaffey are under Mahaffey. Again, I have separated the descendants of Samuel and Lydia's son Clark into 'ABowlingSL - Clark & Carrie' (Herman and Fawn Bowling Holt descendants are placed in both the Clark & Carrie and Holt virtual cemeteries.) I have, in many cases, included spouses for the Clark and Carrie children's and grandchildren's generations. For Carrie's family see the Morley - Hibbard virtual cemetery.
There are also separate virtual cemeteries for Ambrose's known siblings Jeremiah and Margaret.
This is a work in progress!!

Durham Baptist Cemetery Photos - sorry for the photos with odd 'shadows'! A rain shower popped up while I was driving to this site .and the stones were unevenly wet when I took the photos. I figure a poor photo is better than none...
