MUCH OF MY PHOTO VOLUNTEERING FOR "FIND A GRAVE" IS DONE AT WYUKA CEMETERY WITH MANY OF THE GRAVES BEING UNMARKED. PHOTOGRAPHING THESE UNMARKED GRAVES IS POSSIBLE BY USING WYUKA'S DETAILED SECTION MAPS AND USING THE SURROUNDING HEADSTONES TO PINPOINT THE GRAVE THAT HAS BEEN REQUESTED.

____________

I live in eastern Nebraska and have researched my family genealogy as well as my husband's side of the family for a few years now.

Many of my summers off working at a middle school are spent traveling to where our ancestors are from, hoping to find more about them.

The virtual cemeteries are of my mom's maternal HALL ancestors, my mom's paternal WARD ancestors, my dad's maternal BARKER ancestors, and my dad's paternal ASPEGREN ancestors. Also are my husband's mother's PEEBLER ancestors, and my husband's father's ROTH ancestors.

I am a member of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) since June 2012. Three of four of my grandparents had ancestors living in America during the Revolutionary War and I hope to someday add a proven lineage patriot ancestor for each of my three grandparents to DAR.
I joined DAR by patriot, Pvt. Abraham Harrington, buried in Shaftsbury, Vermont. DAR Patriot #A051351. He served during the American Revolutionary War in Rhode Island and Connecticut. He is on my mom's paternal WARD side of family.
I added Pvt. Jonas Galusha as another patriot ancestor of mine. DAR Patriot #A043375. He served during the Revolutionary War in Vermont. He is on my mom's paternal WARD side of family.
My next patriot ancestor I hope to add is Peter Grossclose Sr. DAR Patriot #A048926. He served by Patriotic Service. Listed on Find A Grave as Peter "Johan" Groseclose Sr. (Different last name spelling). He is on my mom's maternal HALL side of family.
Another patriot ancestor to add is Joshua Whitaker Sr. DAR Patriot #A132277. Furnished supplies in North Carolina during the American Revolution. He is on my dad's maternal BARKER side of family.

I am also researching the family farm where I grew up. My Great Grandfather George R. Ward bought the farm in 1921 - north of Geneva, Nebraska. It has been owned and farmed by our family for more than 100 years and received the Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award in 2022.

I think this site has been great for having a place to share what I have found, for the present and future generations to come.
