I've just followed my family trail to Ann. Apparently, I am also her 4th great granddaughter. Would love to know anything else about the family you might know!

Hello...I have been doing some research on Ancestry.com and found my great great grandparents...Their daughter, Katherina was my grandmother's mother...She was married to Joseph Brill and my grandmother was Ellen Brill Rettig...I have a photo album with Catherine's picture in it...I assume her husband had already passed when the photo was taken in the 1880's or 90's...So interesting....I live in Northern California..I had no idea they were buried in Kansas...

I have sent an edit for a name correction for listed subject at the St. Aloysius cemetery in Greenbush, KS. Correct name:
Mary Ellen Westhoff Baldwin
This is my great aunt, whom I was very close to and her middle name Ellen is after her mother.

6:45 am here in Georgia. I'm doing ok. Just have not reply to the email you sent earlier. I have been working with a 2nd cousin and trying to locate the address of a few more 2nd cousin that I used to be in touch with. I am getting a bunch of Keener and Crisp pictures that Joe's Father had done over a long long period of time. Joe is sending copies to me as well as other family members of his. I will reply to the email you sent sometimes today.

Hi Merleen, After reading the "Orphan Train" I remembered my mother talking about her aunt that was adopted from an orphan train. My great grandfather was John Nicholas George. I recognize the picture on your website of Mary George Juttner from a photo I have of the John Nicholas George family and in a caption of the photo it mentions that Mary was adopted from an orphan train. Is this the same Mary George? It also notes that the photo was taken in 1900, so if these Marys are the same person, then the dates don't add up. Please help me make sense of this. Thanks so much.

I've transferred your nephew's memorial to you. It is so sad that he died so young.

Merlene - this memorial has a death date of 1891. His stone shows 1935. I wanted to check with you for a death date if you have one before I request a correction.
